The villa was built in 1980 and completely refurbished as well as extended in 2002. The plot measures 1'800 square meters and is completely fenced in.

The villa is set in one of the most prestigious developments in the Western Algarve: the Urbanisaço Serra e Mar, a green and quiet location approximately 3km behind Penina Golf and Resort / Méridien in the surroundings of Portimo.

The house is mainly orientated east / west - that is: the entrance is on the east side, the living / dining room as well as kitchen, master bedroom and one other bedroom together with the large outdoor terrace, face west or south west.

Villa "Fumone" offers 260 square meter of living space, divided into a large living and dining room with cozy fire place, marble floors and high ceilings; 4 bedrooms (3 bathrooms, two of them en-suite); a large, fully fitted kitchen with breakfast table; entrance hall with guest toilet; storage space as well as garage (with direct access to house - practical in case of rain), drive way and automatic gates.

Directly accessible from kitchen and dining / living room is a large terracotta terrace for al-fresco dining. The completely new pool is set at some distance of the terrace. The gardens are irrigated by an automatic irrigation system - the water being pumped out of the villas own bore hole.

The pool has been provided with an overflow system for cleaning and with an ultra modern salt cleaning installation (no chlorine needed) for the water - which is much healthier for the body.

Garden furniture as well as a nice, long dining table for 10 to 12 guest is available on the terrace.

The house is fitted with central heating for the cooler winter months or evenings in spring and fall. It keeps the house dry and obviously less humid. Air-conditioning has currently not been installed.


DRIVE WAY

The automatic gates lead to a cobblestone driveway offering space for at least two cars. The garage gate is also provided with an automatic opener.


ENTRANCE HALL

On the left hand side of the garage is the main entrance to the villa. The hallway is 10 square meters large and has a built-in wardrobe as well as a guest toilet.

From the entrance hall, you can either go straight, through a double glass door, into the living / dining room; or you can go left into one of the four bedrooms or you can turn right into the hall way leading to the kitchen, two more bedrooms as well as interior access to garage.


BEDROOMS

From the entrance hall, a door leads into a combination of three spaces: two bedrooms with twin beds with a bathroom (10 square meters) in the middle of the two rooms. One of the bedrooms is also accessible from the living room. The bedrooms offer built in wardrobes as well as cozy, wooden furniture. In one room the beds are separated by a bedside table (11 square meters) - in the other bedroom (13 square meters), the beds have been placed together. One of the bedrooms faces southeast, the other west. The bathroom offers a bathtub as well as separate shower and double washbasin. From the bathroom, there is a door leading out to the gardens (can be accessed from outside - prevents children from having to go through the whole house when at the pool).

On the right side of the entrance hall, there is a third bedroom with Queen size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower (15 square meters). The room faces east, has a sealed terracotta floor (for easier treatment) and built in closets.

Further down the hallway, you will find the master bedroom (King size bed) with en-suite bathroom (42 square meters all together). The master bedroom, again with sealed terracotta floor, has a sliding glass door leading to the outside terrace (facing west) as well as a window facing north. Large built in closets with built in safe (code) are available. The bathroom offers bathtub as well as separate shower and double washbasin.

All beds offer comfortable sleeping on new Molaflex mattresses.


LIVING ROOM / DINING ROOM

The living room is the largest space in the villa (52 square meters) and also the highest (at its highest point 4.5 meters). It is painted in a pale yellow and the floors are in a light colored marble. One area of the living room is set lower than the rest: it offers a fireplace (Fogo Montanha) for winter or cooler days and many cozy sofas for comfortable hours in front of the fireplace. The fireplace has vents and openings into the adjacent kitchen as well as the living room for heating.

In another area there is a large sofa as well as comfortable armchairs. Closer to the four large windows, looking out onto the terrace is the main dining table. It is extendable and easily fits 10 guests for an evening among friends. Right next to the area with the dining table you will find another sliding door opening up onto the terrace.

There is a television with satellite TV (Astra) as well as a Mini-Stereo System with CD.

From the living room, you can go directly into the kitchen without having to go back out to the entrance hall.


KITCHEN

The kitchen is a very friendly place to be and to work in. A sliding glass door leads right out to the outside terrace and makes the organization of "al-fresco-dining" easier. It also overlooks the pool in some distance and children can be kept under control. Next to the glass door, there is a table, which easily fits 4 guests for breakfast or a quick snack.

The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove (5 heating places), electrical oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave oven, filter as well as Espresso coffee machine and toaster.


SURROUNDINGS

The surroundings offer perfect holiday relaxation: water sports, golf (5 minutes by car to the Penina Championchip course), shopping (Portimo), beach (Alvor or Maia Praia - Lagos).

For daily necessities, shopping can be done close by or then in Portimo.

There are a number of smaller and attractive local restaurants close the villa - a wider choice is available in Portimo (10 minutes) or Alvor (10 minutes) or Lagos (30 minutes).


ACCESS

Either via Faro Airport - and then by taxi or rent a car (transfer time roughly 45 minutes).

Or by car from Lisbon to the Algarve - and then on to Portimo. The villa is located west of Portimo, in the Penina area. Turn right off EN125 after BP gas station.
